Build a useful recipe card

Copy the source or link, ingredient quantities and the number of portions onto a card or document. Keep preparation and cooking instructions accessible; a list of ingredients alone is not enough to reproduce a recipe.

Add notes in a separate section so your changes are not confused with the original instructions. Record equipment size and anything you would prepare earlier next time.

Keep the card only as complicated as it needs to be. A clear source, a successful result and two practical notes can make a familiar meal easier to repeat.
